JoMoPro

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

mco-jomopro-guettler.jpgRyan Guettler is over at the JoMo Pro contest this weekend. The good vibe of the contest that has done its rounds has brought a whole lot of BMX Pros to the park for the third edition of the contest. It is Ryan Guettler’s first time at JoMo pro and he arrived 3 days early. The extra time was needed getting used to the park which has hundreds of lines.

Here is a movie which has an interview with Ryan in it, straight from JoMo Pro.

RIDE BMX No. 113

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

mco-ride113-Blend-review.jpgRIDE UK BMX MAG number 113 hit the newsstands and it has a Mirraco Blend 2 bike review as well as the M3 Forks and Gas pedals in the product section. Ryan Guettler gets a double page spread where his signature Whip shoe is featured in a VANS advertisement.

mco-ride113.jpgM3 Black Label forks: Dave’s little garage company (ha……yeah, right) have just released a plethora of aftermarket parts to back up their amazing complete bike range: The Mirraco Black Label Forks feature 5 mm dropouts, fully heat treated double butted cromoly legs, one-piece CNC machined steerer tube, milled-out dropouts, and they weigh 2.2lb. The raw sandblast colourway is also impressive.

mco-ride113-guettler.jpgOn the M3 Gas Pedal RIDE wrote:  These are high quality pedals, they feel perfect.

Blend 2 review: RIDE sums it up like this: Overall, it’s pretty hard to pick fault with this bike at this price point - it’s right on the money. After all, would you want to argue with Dave? Go ahead. Be my guest.

Mike Spinner video

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

mco-spin1080-wwE.jpgMike Spinner has been “Chillin’” over at Woodward camp. Last night Tom Stober decided to film a session and if you ride like this on a daily basis, you know you’ve put your ground work in. Spinner threw an invert in the smooth 720 and also pulled his first 1080 over the box at Woodward (East).

See double tailwhip footjams, lots of backwards manuals to 360-s, and more tech riding by Mike. The session they filmed was only 30 minutes long. How long would it take for Mike to finish a video part?

mco-ride-141-jmb.jpgmco-ride-141-Nigel.jpgMagazine overload this week! This one is from England and goes by the name of RIDE. Jean Marie Baertsch gets a vert photo from the X-Games in Dubai. The caption reads; Eastern Europe Style, but JMB is from Switzerland but the style is hot.

Nigel is doing a barspin to smith grind to barspin out where Rob finds a new way to grind a rail at Matt Beringer’s backyard.; quarterpipe to backwards rail grind to hard - 180 - out. RIDE BMX #112. Try to find it.

Dubai X-Games part 2

Thursday, December 6th, 2007

mco-st-dubai.jpgToday the vert prelims took place at the Dubai X-Games. You can imagine the heat that was going on in the desert but some riders are stuck in the cold at home so there are little complaints about the sunshine over there. Swiss Mirraco rider Jean-Marie Baertsch rode vert and qualified in 6th. He wasn’t too stoked on his riding but he was riding smooth indeed and thinking that he was off the bike since the summer due to a broken leg, he was doing really well. Simon Tabron won prelims and shoots staight to tomorrow’s final.

mco-jmb-dubai2.jpgNigel Sylvester and Maxime Charveron worked with the heat in street practice. Prelims for them starts tomorrow too and we’ll post right here what that brings. The course is pretty street with loads of rails and flatbanks making Nigel feel at home at least a little bit. Nigel riding at the X-Games, who would have thought…..

Stay tuned.
