Maxime Charveron wins the FIAT!

Monday, October 6th, 2008
Mco-Maxime-wins-Fiat.jpgAt the beginning of the year the FISE-Experience series promised a brand new car for the overall winner in the BMX Pro category. French Mirraco rider Maxime Charveron made it a mission to win that car. It meant he had to travel across the country to enter the contests but the pay-off in the end would be worth it. mco-maxime-is-stoked.jpgWell, the pay-off has come and Maxime is now the proud owner of a FIAT Panda 4X4 Cross plus he won a € 1000,= Euro check. The last stop in Marseille did not get in the way for Maxime to pick up the keys and head back home. Congrats to Maxime for pulling this off. Next year a similar series is on the schedule. Car to be won: A Fiat Qubo.

Nigel and Spinner off to Spain

Saturday, October 4th, 2008
mco-spinners-shoes.jpgNigel Sylvester and Mike Spinner have left for a filming trip in Barcelona, Spain. The Nike video is insane as it is already (according to the guys) but to give them an extra few days of filming on different terrain, 6.0 flew them over to Europe. So if you happen to visit Barcelona at the same time, don’t be surprised to see Nigel and Mike riding down the street looking for that next spot.

Nigel going Swiss

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008
mco-nigel-7thSkyMag.jpgmco-nigel-7thSkyNike-spread.jpgNigel Sylvester is so international these days. When flipping through the latest issue of 7th Sky magazine from Switzerland we noticed that Nigel has a double page spread in it courtesy of Nike. Nigel also has had giant billboards all over the place so if he doesn’t watch out, the Mirraco rider will be world famous. Forbes web interview, trips to Italy, France, Dubai, own shop in NYC, putting on jams, Nigel is doing it all.

Guettler, Spinner and Coleman clip at Mirra’s warehouse

Sunday, September 28th, 2008
mco-spinner-clip.jpgIf you want to see how the pros ride on a daily basis you should watch the video that was recently posted on the Shred Or Die website. Austin Coleman joins Greenville locals Ryan Guettler and Mike Spinner for a session at the Animal house, Dave Mirra’s private indoor park. 720-s and double whips like it’s nothing, a few crashes left and ride, but having a good time all the time. BMX Plus! November 2008.

Saturday, September 27th, 2008
mco-plus-nigel-bc.jpgmco-plus-laird.jpgThe November issue of BMX Plus! just dropped on the doormat. Next to Mike Laird doing a tailwhip-180 in the Mirraco ad the issue has a good number of pics of Mirraco riders in there. Mike Spinner gets a full page sequence from the Cleveland Dew Tour where he pulled that Quad Tailwhip for the first time in a contest. Gotta love these fast digital camera’s. It took 16 photos to show the trick. There are a few podium shots from the same comp with Guettler and Spinner on them. Congrats. Plus! is running a 720 How-to, performed and explained by Mike Spinner. Then Nigel Sylvester and Mike Spinner receive a bike check each. Guettler’s and Mirra’s signature shoes make it in the Fall Product section and to finish it off Nigel Sylvester gets a two-page photo doing a barspin-180 over a gap. Thanks to the BMX Plus! crew for the love. mco-plus-spinner.jpg mco-plus-nigel.jpg

Maxxis posters featuring Mirra and Spinner

Friday, September 26th, 2008
mco-dave-maxxis.jpgmco-spinner-maxxis.jpgDuring the Interbike show Mike Spinner and Dave Mirra made it over to the Maxxis booth for an autograph signing. Both riders had a special poster to sign. Dave’s had a photo of him doing his signature no-handed 360 backflip and Spinner found a ditch to do another whip. Get yourselves a poster from Maxxis by going here.

mco-guettler-berlin.jpgGood news for German Guettler fans. Ryan is coming to the last round of the T-Mobile Extreme Playground series in Berlin. The date is 29-30 November and the place to be is the Berlin Velodrome. If you like the band “The Offspring” you’re lucky as they are playing live at the event. Last year’s winner Alessandro Barbero will face a lot of competition again this year but is ready to take it on. More info on the event can be found here.

Maxime’s hunt for the FIAT

Monday, September 22nd, 2008
mco-maxime-handplant.jpgThe 2008 FISE Experience series is coming to an end next weekend. The French contest series had a big prize up for grabs before the contest series started; a FIAT car. Mirraco rider Maxime Charveron is in the lead going into the last contest to be held in Marseille from 3-5 October 2009. For sure he won’t be driving off as he does not have his drivers license yet but winning a car would be sweet anyway. Good luck Max!
