BMX Plus! September 2008

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

mco-laird-plus-september200.jpgIt was Mirraco rider Mike Laird who got the advertisement in the new BMX Plus! issue doing a 180 whip off a skinny ledge. The issue also has an article about getting sponsored. They asked several brands how they approach the subject and this is how Mirraco’s Jim Ford responded:

“All of the topics are important. The current Mirraco team covers all the bases and has a good mix of riding skills and personalities. Not all of our team members are contest riders, but they all have riding skills that translate into TV coverage, video parts or magazine coverage. Some have tattoos, some have lots of gold medals, and some don’t have any medals. The point is, we’re looking for diversity, not clones. When we come across someone with the potential to develop into a team rider, we’ll flow some product and see how things go. If a spot opens up on the team we’ll probably pick a flow rider who best fits the spot that’s open.”

Added M3 Flipgrip color

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

mco-flipgrip-sq.jpgWe showed the Mirraco M3 grips a few weeks ago. They come in White, Black, Light Blue and Grey. But we have not shown you the  Burgundy color of the M3 grips yet. Maybe these are the color grips that you have been waiting for to complete your ride.

You’re asking if they are any good? Good enough for Daniel Dhers to ride to Gold at SuperPark at the most recent X-Games event. Contact your local Mirraco dealer to find out how much they are. Use the Mirraco dealer locater to find the closest dealer to your home.

mco-2009-sneakpeek.jpgThe 2009 line of Mirraco complete bikes is done. They are looking great and we can’t wait to show them to you. But first things first. The 2009 Mirraco catalog (or magalog as it’s more like a magazine, like last year’s) is at the printer’s and as soon as it comes back you can have a look at the 2009 line if you manage to get your hands on one. Sample bikes are being sent to the distributors for them to show them at the upcoming trade shows. You can view the bikes at the Eurobike show in Friedrichshafen, Germany and also at the Interbike show in Las Vegas next month. We are looking forward to see you there.

New: Mirraco bar pads

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

mco-barpads1.jpgNot only are the new Mirraco handlebar pads fashionable, everyone who has smashed his face on the crossbar will agree that they would have liked some foam there when the incident happened. If you are concerned about the weight we can tell you that they practically weigh nothing so no worries there.

The 2009 top of the line Mirraco Limited models will come with handlebar pads but they will be available for everyone to put on their own rides too.

Contact your local Mirraco dealer for more information on the Mirraco handlebar pads.
