Guettler gets second in Germany. Wins best 360 contest.

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

mco-guettler-2nd.jpgRyan Guettler made it over to Germany for the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds. It was a head to head dirt competition which started off with 14 invited or qualified riders. After some qualification rounds and a Text Message voting, the following riders made it to the top 4: Ben Wallace (UK), Markus Hampl (Germany), Ryan Nyquist (USA) and Ryan Guettler (Australia). Both Ryan’s made it to the final where it went head to head live on MTV. After a long day of riding both riders messed up some of their tricks and it was Nyquist who ended up winning and Guettler getting second. Guettler was doing huge frontflips over the first set and 720-s over the last set at ease all day and mixed it up with turndown 360-s, superman jumps and double whips.

Ryan entered the “Best 360″ contest and won that with a 360 backflip in front of a sold-out crowd.

Congrats to Ryan on a stellar performance in Germany.

News from our Swiss rider Jean-Marie Baertsch

mco-jmb-park-360.jpgFinally I found time to write a new update. In between work, exams, building a BMX Park and a few other things to do, it was hard to find time for riding and even harder to get a good shot. As I told you before we are working hard on hour new BMX Park, we have a contract with the council to finish work until the 24th of May for their grand opening party.

mco-jmb-park-overview.jpgSo there’s a lot to do but we already found some time to test the ramps. Everything is big, but that’s the way to go. Superpark you know ;-) I haven’t been on the road yet but I’m looking forward to change that pretty soon. A good roadtrip is what I need right now.

The army wants me too, it’s actually a must where I live, but my body is already a small mess so I would be a bad soldier…let’s hope I don’t have to go. Fingers crossed.
