Dear MirraCo.,   Thank you for supporting Huge Hugh with the sweet deal on the Project 16 through our local bike shop, Hall Bicycle in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He is really looking forward to moving up to it from his Apprentice 12 when it arrives. As you know from the previous time you posted about him he won the Oakley Ride Search in BMX ridding the Apprentice 12. Now, back from the Grand Prize week at Woodward here is the video of his week there and attached are some photos from the trip if you want to post them on the site. Austin Coleman joins Greenville locals Ryan Guettler and Mike Spinner for a session at the Animal house, Dave Mirra’s private indoor park. 720-s and double whips like it’s nothing, a few crashes left and ride, but having a good time all the time. The November issue of BMX Plus! just dropped on the doormat. Next to Mike Laird doing a tailwhip-180 in the Mirraco ad the issue has a good number of pics of Mirraco riders in there. Mike Spinner gets a full page sequence from the Cleveland Dew Tour where he pulled that Quad Tailwhip for the first time in a contest. Gotta love these fast digital camera’s. It took 16 photos to show the trick. There are a few podium shots from the same comp with Guettler and Spinner on them. Congrats. Plus! is running a 720 How-to, performed and explained by Mike Spinner. Then Nigel Sylvester and Mike Spinner receive a bike check each. Guettler’s and Mirra’s signature shoes make it in the Fall Product section and to finish it off Nigel Sylvester gets a two-page photo doing a barspin-180 over a gap. Thanks to the BMX Plus! crew for the love.  

During the Interbike show Mike Spinner and Dave Mirra made it over to the Maxxis booth for an autograph signing. Both riders had a special poster to sign. Dave’s had a photo of him doing his signature no-handed 360 backflip and Spinner found a ditch to do another whip. Get yourselves a poster from Maxxis by going here.

Good news for German Guettler fans. Ryan is coming to the last round of the T-Mobile Extreme Playground series in Berlin. The date is 29-30 November and the place to be is the Berlin Velodrome. If you like the band “The Offspring” you’re lucky as they are playing live at the event. Last year’s winner Alessandro Barbero will face a lot of competition again this year but is ready to take it on. More info on the event can be found here.

In between signing autographs, hanging out with the dealers and playing poker, Dave Mirra picked up the RIDEBMX microphone and walked through the Mirraco booth at the Interbike show to explain the bikes and parts that are on the booth. You can view the clip by going right here.

If you have always wanted to play a game with Nigel Sylvester, Mike Spinner, Ryan Guettler or Dave Mirra, the Interbike booth in Las Vegas is the place to be. Next to poker activities you can check out the Black Label Mirraco parts, the new Wallstreet complete bike, the 18 inch Black Pearl and a few more models. Do not forget to pick up a copy of the 2009 magalog while you are at the booth.

The 2008 FISE Experience series is coming to an end next weekend. The French contest series had a big prize up for grabs before the contest series started; a FIAT car. Mirraco rider Maxime Charveron is in the lead going into the last contest to be held in Marseille from 3-5 October 2009. For sure he won’t be driving off as he does not have his drivers license yet but winning a car would be sweet anyway. Good luck Max!
