The RedBull Bikenight in Trieste, Italy is the biggest BMX/MTB event of the year over there. The 20.000 Euro prize purse, the TV camera’s and a big crowd brings the best out of the riders. Alessandro Barbero got teamed up with Sam Pilgrim (MTB) and together they knocked a few other teams out of the competition in the head to head format. In the finals Alessandro and his team mate had to battle against Daniel Dhers and Lance McDermott. Although Alessandro and Sam won the Best Team Combo award (a special prize for best synchronized/fun team run), they had to accept a loss against team Rubins. The champagne shower that followed on the podium was tasty.
