From now on things are going to look pretty weird as the BMX riders will be teamed up with a mountain bike rider over in Trieste, Italy at the RedBull Bike Night. If you draw a bad rider, chances are slim making it to the next round but last year proved that anything can happen.
Qualifying this morning brought the following results in BMX:
1. Daniel Dhers
2. Alessandro Barbero
3. Harry Main
4. Bruno Hoffmann
5. Colin MacKay
6. Kevin Kalkoff
7. Tobias Wicke
8. Ben Hennon
9. Stefan Lantschner
10. Juria Barrac
11. Arthur Dietrich
12. Axel Juergens

After dealing with the heat all day it was time for qualifying runs in the evening. The crowd arrived on the town square of Trieste but also the wind arrived. Bad timing as the wind got so strong that no contest could take place.
Local Italian Mirraco rider Alessandro Barbero did not take any risks and is saving things for tomorrow. Daniel Dhers is present as well at the invite only event and Jean Marie Baertsch came down to take care of some judging duties.
More updates from Italy tomorrow when we have some results. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Today I shot a TV segment for the USA Network for Character Road Trip. I met up with two hosts of the show today at the Van’s Sk8park in Orange County, CA. Pretty much just did some talking and some riding and it is going to end up on the USA Network in a bunch of segments during a Wednesday night during a movie, so after the commercials it will be one of the segments and there will be a bunch during the whole movie.
I’m not sure of the dates yet but I will keep you posted. Here’s a website to check it out. I guess millions of people tune into this so I’m pretty stoked: Character Road Trip

Yo what’s good? So the summer has made it to use.. and if you can imagine being in Florida for the summer it is hell! We have been filming for Shadow and hitting up little free skate parks around and riding tons of street! it’s been pretty good.. so summer in Florida means it rains after like 4 every day so you have to get your riding in early.. but a plus is that we have the beach 30 min away so we hit that up a lot..
So after we are done riding we get to printing shirts for Heathen Bros. It’s a company that my friends Brad and Chad got started a while ago and we have been printing a lot of new shirts and going to art shows and trying to get the shit out there. It’s been going good! Selling a lot of shirts.. so if anyone wants shirts hit me up! or anyone need their own shirts made, they do everything…
Here are some pics. Stay cool.. peace!

First Dew tour stop! So pretty much I went into this stop super excited and super nervous. Since the last stop in Orlando last year, I’ve been riding a ton and working on a bunch of new things. This stop also had the big step down which last year I was to scared to even jump down, this year I was double whipping down it everytime.
After the stepdown was the box jump. It was hard to do a good trick on the step down then a big trick on the box so I was just doing a 7 after the double whip down the step down. Right after that I did my first triple whip on a quarter in a contest. I was super psyched how that trick was working out. I also triple whipped a hip and then threw a 1080 at the end of my run.
I was stoked that I got to do a few new things for me at this first stop but, I held back a bunch on my 540 and 720 variations and I didn’t throw a flair in either. I got 3rd at this first stop so we will see what happens at the next stop HA HA HA.
Austin Coleman and I just got back to Greenville from Baltimore like an hour ago, and I am packing my bags already and I have a 5:30 am flight to LA, Cali to film some stuff for the Dew Tour for the USA Network. Should be a good time like always!

We received some photos from a happy Mirraco Project 18 owner and decided to fire over some questions his way. It did not take long for him (or his mother) to reply to get the little interview up on the www.mirrabikeco.com website. Read on what Nic has to say.
Name: Nicolas Britt
Age: 7
Hometown: Chesapeake, VA
How many years have you been able to ride a bike without training wheels?
Nic Britt: I have been riding since I was 2 and a half.
Did you ride a bike with 12″ wheels first, then 16″ and now the 18″ inched wheels?
Nic Britt: 12″ at first than Haro Nyquist R16 last three years.
What do you think of the Mirraco Project 18 bike?
Nic Britt: Looks cool and it’s light weight.
Do people at the park like it?
Nic Britt: Yes. “nice bike”
Have you been able to learn a few tricks on it?
Nic Britt: Yep. wheelies and bigger airs.

In the BMX Park event, Dhers, of Venezuela scored 93.33. Australia’s Ryan Guettler was second with 92.50 and Mike Spinner of Miami finished third with 92.33. “In my first run I started messing up trick after trick, and I was like, ‘That’s it, it’s over,’” Dhers said. But all that changed on his second run. Moments before, Dhers said he decided to take his hands off the handlebars while he performed a flatspin 720, increasing the difficulty.
He landed the trick and continued with three double tailwhips, a 720 over the spine and a no-footed can can tailwhip.
“I got on the deck, I heard my song coming on, and I was like, ‘No, no, one more battle and we’ll see what’s up.’ I’m seriously so happy to get the win.”
Mirraco riders Ryan Guettler and Mike Spinner were stoked on their podium finishes. The 2008 Park standings of the Dew Tour look like this:
