Hey everyone, just got back and wanted to let you know what’s been going on lately. I’ll start with Salt Lake City Dew Tour. Man, you know I really rode super hard for this event and everyday in practice felt like I was home. I was doing all of my hard stuff and I even pulled a 1080 in the second day of practice. I really had a good feeling about this stop and the day of prelims I wasn’t even nervous.
I was actually excited to ride and when I was up I fell on two 540 whips. The worst is I did them everyday in practice and never even sketch one. Oh well, I guess over-training can really work for the worst sometimes.
Stop 2. After Salt Lake I went to visit my buddy in St George, Utah. It’s like 4 hours West and on the way to Vegas where I had to be in two days for Interbike. So I hung out for a day in St George then headed to vegas. This turned out to be a long trip and a lot of down time.
The first two days I hung out in the booth at the bike show. I was really stoked on the 08 line we are getting ready to release and overall the show went well. The show ended Friday and then I had two parties to go to and announce my new clothing company “grammar”.
Yes, it’s true. I have a brand of clothing getting released in 08. So, we had a party at Lax the new club in the Luxor and on Sat. we had a party at club Jet in the Mirage. That’s what I call Vegas. Really good time, but now I’m ready to get home.
That’s it for now, talk soon.

Okay So this was the 4th Stop of the Dew tour. I was excited and nervous at the same time, but the course was pretty sweet so that made it fun. I got in on Tuesday, so did Mirra. We just hung out and got dinner. The next Day I had to wake up at 5 am to do some TV morning shows that was fun. I pretty much just rode the course before everybody else did but then I missed half the practice because I was way too tired so I went back to sleep, lol.
All I can say is that Dave Mirra owned the place in practice, dropping Flair whips, 5 whips on the ten foot quarter and the next day in practice he pulled his first 1080 on the box. He definitely WON practice!!
The day after that was Prelims. I was nervous just like always but I had a run planned out which I did in practice like a million times. I pulled it in my first run. Dave, who went all out, messed up a 5 whip in prelims in his first and second run but that didn’t hold him back from just going for a 1080 for the crowd he didn’t pull it but I know him, he will be back in the next contest even stronger.
Ryan Guettler for the first time didn’t make dirt finals this year, I knew he was going to kill the park course and that’s what he did. In prelims he pulled a 1080 and qualified 3rd right behind me. The Next day was finals. I had two runs planned out; my safe run and the go for it run. Ryan who was right before me dropped in and pulled a 1080 and a double flip on the box that was amazing. I got so anxious after that. Right after my double whip down the step down hip I went too fast at the next hip and did a 450 turn bar to flat and looped out. All my confidence was shot, but I said okay I will keep going. I did a 7 whip, did a few other things, then just on a 7turndown to x-up I got lazy and cased and my pants ripped.
As I was kinda bummed I got some pants to use from Zack Warden for my second run and I pulled my safe run, I had some things I wanted to do at this stop but I just couldn’t put it together that day but I ended up in 5th place and I am still strong for second overall, so I’m pretty happy. I am now in Las Vegas for Interbike for a few days then I go to Portland, Oregon to shoot some photos for Nike so I will keep you guys posted.

What’s up guys… this is a big one………I got 2nd at the Dew Tour in Salt Lake City last weekend. I’m soooooooooooo happy, I felt like I rode really dumb in dirt so I wanted to make it up in street and had nothing to lose because I wasn’t in the point standing, so I went for it.
In my first run I did a double flip and a 1080 and did the same in my second run plus added a flip no foot can and a fronty over the box. Felt like I had the best run of my life but so did Scotty Cranmer who pulled a front flip whip which is crazy….
Can’t wait till the next Dew in 3 weeks.
Now I’m getting ready to go to Vegas for Interbike then home….

Checking in from DEW TOUR! We are about to watch Dirt finals, the course consists of one straight jump and three hips. The hips are making it very hard for the riders to stay consistent. James Foster qualified first starting his run out with a huge triple whip.
Park Prelims start tomorrow. Practice looks crazy. The two that stick out the most are Dave Mirra and Garret Reynolds. So make sure if you’re not here to tune in to see who takes the Dew cup in Salt Lake.
Also Bart and I went to the Red Bull party held in the Hilton. They were holding a guitar hero contest that was awesome. Everyone showed up From Ryan Sheckler to Sean White. None the less this stop is one of my favorites. Also it’s Rob Wise’s home town. Well I will Check in soon……..

1. Since getting second in Portland what have you been up to?
To be honest, I went straight home and got back in the warehouse. I’m riding better than ever and I want to keep it up.
2. You are currently ranked fourth in park. What plans do you have coming into the Salt Lake Dew Tour?
Same as always, go out and do the best I can . Ride hard and hope it’s your day.
3. Every stop your bikes a new color. What’s the next color we are going to see?
We’ll see. I got a couple ideas
4. If you’re not riding, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
My life is fully committed to family and riding. If I’m not home, I’m at the warehouse, if I’m not at the warehouse, I’m home. Well, maybe Finelli’s
5. I have seen a lot of new parts on your bike with the Mirra Co. name on it. Wanna talk about that?
We’re working on a few things right now and weight is in mind. The bars are fully heat treated (1 lb. 7oz.), the forks are fully heat treated (2 lbs. 2oz.), the pedals are mag w/ ti spindle (6 oz each). I’m really psyched because I am very weight conscious.
6. Your going to Rally school, any plans of making a switch like Travis Pastrana did?
Just playin’. U never know. Motors are pretty cool.

Mirraco’s distributor in Romania reports that the first ever BMX contest at the skatepark in Bucharest was a big success. A good time was had by all. A few Mirraco banners were put up around the park and it’s good to be present even all the way over there.
Check the pics for the action.

Hey what’s up! So this last few weeks have been pretty busy. I got back from Germany for the T-mobile mini ramp contest, then flew straight to Florida. Hung out with all my friends and just rode a bunch.
I convinced my friend Gio to come back with me to Woodward so he did. He was pretty excited because he always saw videos of Woodward and stuff so the first thing he did was jump in the foam pit HA HA HA. We only hung out at Woodward for 2 days then we took the 8 hour drive to Greenville, NC. to chill with Dave and Ryan.
We rode every day and they both kill it. Put it this way, I’m not the only one that can do a 1080 anymore!!!!!!
But I will say this, the week we were there the stuff Dave does every single day on his bike IS CRAZY. The tricks, the lines everything and he just has a great Attitude towards it all!!!! Other than that, my friend and I had a bunch of trips to the mechanics. The brakes on my truck were just done. White smoke everywhere. The next day, 600 bucks shorter but my truck was fine. And on the way back to Woodward A flat tire. I’m really excited to get a new car at the end of the year.
I will check in next week. I am going from Woodward PA, to Salt Lake City for the Dew Tour, then Vegas for Interbike, then going to Portland, Oregon to Shoot some photos for Nike. It should be fun few weeks!!!!!!! ]
The pics are Gio and Mirra’s dog Rex, Gio and I driving, Gio Diogo and Ryan in the back, Gio jumping in the foam, Mirras dog rex, Daves sk8 park.
Later,
