Guettler is having fun down there. An update from Ryan.

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

Ryan Guettler updateI just had a big week there was a spine comp at Beenleigh sk8 park which is my local place and I ended up doing pretty good. I got 1st in best trick and 1st in best runs. Then I’m with the Colony team and we road trip down to Sydney stopping at sk8 parks and street spots on the way down because we’re filming a video.

This weekend there was the BMX Games in Sydney and I got 1st in dirt, 2nd in park and 1st in mini. I pulled my 1st ever barrel roll over the box jump. I’m happy as Larry.

Now today I’m flying to New Zealand to do a week of fliming over there and then hit up the X-Air comp. Then I’ll fly back to Greenville, NC.
Talk soon

Bikes Belong Coalition examines BMX riding in skateparks

Friday, January 26th, 2007

Let the bikes in. Get your info from Bikes BelongFreestyle BMX riding is an exciting and challenging activity that engages young people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. BMX parks—and skateparks that permit BMX riding—provide safe places for kids to ride and socialize, keeping them off busy streets and away from trouble. Unfortunately, BMX riders are often excluded from public skateparks across the country, largely due to unfounded claims that their presence in parks is destructive and even dangerous.

Find tips, solutions and ways to make things work in the extensive research on the Bikes Belong Coalition website. Mirraco supports this all the way.
