Rebel Jam, Berlin, Germany.

mco-gute-dirt-rebel-jam.jpgThe Rebel Jam in Berlin is at its third edition. In this short time they’ve built up a reputation of being one of the best rider run events on the planet. It shows when the pros want to go to Germany themselves for this contest and not because they have to.

90 pros entered the street contest which is pretty awesome when you think of it. Mirraco riders Ryan Guettler, Jean-Marie Baertsch and Alessandro Barbero made it over to the Mellowpark and are entering mini, dirt and/or street.

mco-ale-flip-rebel-jam.jpgThere is no pressure here in Germany which is good for a change a week after the X-Games and a week before the third round of the Dew Tour. Having a good time is a big part of BMX. The street qualifiers got stopped with two more groups to go. Ryan Guettler already had his run where he showed some double whips, flairs, wall to whip, toboggan transfers, 3-whips and more. Alessandro still has to ride street.

mco-jmb-360-invert-spine.jpgThe miniramp qualification got stopped by the rain. Jean-Marie did some no-handers, toboggans and 360-s before a toboggan 180 over the spine ended his run. Ryan Guettler is in the last group of the miniramp competition that will probably start as soon as it dries up. Dirt still needs to happen so no results there either.
We’ll keep you posted from Berlin. Here’s a little video of the first day of the Rebel Jam (hit the image):
