JMB took a trip to Belgium
Swiss Mirraco flow rider Jean Marie Baertsch took a trip to Belgium last weekend to ride at the Red Cross adventure event in Hechtel. The happening was a vert/dirt event where the platform of the vert ramp was actually used as a run up for the dirt section.

Jean Marie entered both contests. In Vert is was more of a session but with Peter Geys pushing the level in Belgium, it was hard to take it easy. Jean Marie showed his style on the halfpipe that was set up right in front of the local council. For variations he didn’t stop at griz airs, no-handers, lookbacks, one-footed MX airs, inverts, toboggans and x-ups at the 8 feet mark. His new disco ball helmet instantly had some fans over in Belgium. JMB got second place behind the local Bike Devil himself.

In the Dirt competition JMB had to qualify for the finals which he did. It was a chill event but when it comes down to the finals the riders still have that competitive edge that pushes everyone to do their best on the three jumps that were layed out. JMB did no-handed three sixties that were rad, as well as his table and x-up 3-s. It was dark by the time the finals were held and even darker by the time the results were announced. JMB got 4th I believe.
Next event that everyone is looking forward to is the Rebel Jam in Berlin. Ryan Guettler will be there as well as Alessandro Barbero and Jean Marie. Expect Mirraco updates from Germany this weekend.
