Day one–X games by Dave Mirra

x4.jpgThey say “attitude is every” right. Well, I learned something today that may be valuable to you because it was to me. Anyway, I looked at the drawing of the park course and I was not psyched. All I could think about is the things I didn’t like about the course and it was really wearing me out. x3.jpgSo, before I went down to get my credentials, I made up my mind that this is no big deal and we all have the same amount of practice to get used to the course. Instantly, I changed my outlook on everything and turned a negative attitude into a postive vibe. x2.jpgIt made total sense, ten riders, the same amount of practice and ya know what, as good as everyone is these days, it should be different. In my mind, I embraced the challenged and ready to see the course in person. So, I get to the course and I really like the look of it . I started to roll around and believe me it was pretty scary at first, but after about twenty minutes I really fell in love with the feel of the course. At the end of the day I was really pleased with how I blocked out the negative and decided to rise above.

x1.jpgIt’s crazy what you can learn if you just stop and think for a second . When I was young I was the exact opposite and I really like the flip side. I really hope that can help in a situation that needs patience and a second thought.

Stay strong. dm
