Customized Mirraco bikes

Friday, March 16th, 2007

Johnny has customized his BlendWhen you have picked up your Mirraco bike from the dealership it looks sweet and it’s ready to go. However, you feel like you need to personalize your ride. Add a bit of colour, set it up exactly the way you want it, you throw some extra stickers on it, take the pegs off or add some, there are several ways to make your bike yours.

Johnny over in Nevada made a seat of Red and Tan Deerskin leather that noone has. His Blend stands out from all other bikes out there because of it. Johnny says: “Looks good! ‘n’ rides better”

How does your bike look?

Guettler dressed up. A unique occurrence.

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

Guettler dressed up niceBMX-ers might look like dirtbags to the outside world but in fact they wear what they want to wear and they just don’t care. Well, when you have to go to court it is still a different situation. Ryan Guettler had to go to make a deposition in a Monster case and dressed up nice for a change. How funny does that look?

Word on the street is that he wore a tie as well. We wonder how long it took before he took that off once he left the building. 5 seconds? 10 seconds? or 15 seconds?

Ryan has a signature shoe at Vans and you can win a personal pair (the ones he wore during X-Air) by going to his website.

Dave Mirra on Snafu spread

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

Snafu ad featuring Dave MirraIt is nice when co-sponsors use the Mirraco riders for their ads. Dave Mirra gets a two page spread in the latest RIDE BMX Magazine (that British one) from our friends over at Snafu. Here is what they say about him on their site:

SNAFU PRO Dave Mirra

BMX’s million dollar man and ESPN’s all-time leading medal winner joined the SNAFU team in 2006, but that wasn’t his biggest move of the year… Around the same time, Dave turned his back on his long-time sponsor to start MirraCo. His motivation: to give something back to the sport. Dave’s first move was to assemble a team of badasses, then let them design the bikes of their dreams. Dave showed his love for SNAFU by spec’ing his signature model with a boatload of new SNAFU parts. When Dave is on that bike everything he does is nothing short of amazing. Off the bike, he’s just like you and me. He likes cars and his family, and he likes to drink a little red wine

Ryan Guettler returns from NC, SC, GA and Northern Florida film trip

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

Black Pearl headtubeFilming for videos is one way for the Mirraco riders to spend time. It involves going for tricks that will impress people. They’re burly, sketchy, awesome and risky at the same time. Ryan Guettler joined Allan Cooke, Colin MacKay and Chris Doyle on a filming trip through four states. Brian Purdy was the man behind the camera and you can expect the video to be out some time this summer.

While on the road Ryan shot a bunch of photos. Some of them seen by hitting this Vital link.
He also shot a photo of Ricky Carmichael who was training at his private MX track. Check it.

AL D images

Whip to somethingWe love to receive pictures of riders on Mirraco bikes just like these shots of Al D on his Blend. Al in an enthusiast and puts on BMX Invasion contests but when the time is right he rips the ramps apart himself.

Check these photos for instance. Not all contest promoters can do these sort of tricks.
