This post might answer your questions
For all of you who have questions relating to the Blend Ltd post, here is a general reply since we do not have the manpower to answer every post.
The Limited Series (Blend and Black Pearl) completes are being produced this week. It will be about six weeks from now before they start showing up in shops around the world. Within the next two weeks we hope to have the dealer locator up and running on the site. This will help point you to a dealer (or distributor in countries like Singapore, Russia, and S. Africa) that will be selling Mirraco. From there, you need to check with the dealer for availability and pricing. We have no way to track that from here. Most, but not all of the LTD completes are accounted for, the number changes every day so we expect them all to be sold before Christmas.
Frames will be coming a little later, but will not have numbered badges or be called LTD like the completes. They will be priced in the low $300 range, but that’s not finalized yet. All the frames we will sell (Blend, Black Pearl, aversion of the Five Star and a brakeless frame for Nigel, will weigh less than 5 pounds (that’s less than 2.3 kilograms).
PS – if you want to play the video you have to download Quicktime, but it’s free so it’s totally worth doing.

Not wanting to sound rude, but Nigels street frame is under 5 lbs? the tubing thickness’ & Gauge cant be very thick so will it stand up to a beating? i know Nigel is smooth but what about someone who rides like Butcher?
also where are they made? because $300 + is steep for a taiwanese frame that aesthetically doesnt really look any different to alot of frames availible today. and in the competition bracket are Sundays, depending on how much over $300 the frames are you could get a Sunday frame & bars, possibly even fork. sorry is i sound rude but those are geniune questions, and possibly even problems you may come across in the near future.

Good question and it didn’t come across as rude. Honesty is a big thing forus, so here’s the straight answer. A light frame can be strong if it is engineered properly.
We’re not claiming someone who rides like Butcher can’t destroy it, but we have to make weight a priority based on what today’s
riders want. If we make it bullet proof it’s going to weigh more than it needs to for the vast majority of riders and then it won’t sell.
The frames will be made at the best frame builder we know of in Taiwan. We pay a premium for materials, welding, and finish quality, or we wouldn’t put Mirraco on it. By the way, the price we’re shooting for will include an integrated headset and Mid-BB set and are heat treated. Not all brands out there can claim that.
