The X-Games are now almost 2 months ago. In practice Dave Mirra had a nasty crash that not only sent him to the flat bottom of the park course but also to the hospital with a lacerated liver. The outcome was 2 months of rest for Dave. He started feeling better quickly but was ordered by the doctors not to ride to let his liver heal properly. Well, that time is over. Dave is riding again and there is a good chance that he will be competing at the Dew Action Sports Tour finals in Orlando. And what has he been doing in his downtime? Dave and his wife are expecting their first baby soon so we can only imagine……

Local Exposure Tour is a voyage that sets out in search of unknown BMX talent. At the end of the tour one fortunate local BMXer will be voted on the crew to join the next tour. Our number one priority is to give local kids some much deserved coverage on an insane roadtrip with the sole purpose of having a good time.

Michael Cleveland, Dave Mirra and Ryan Guettler joined the Local Exposure crew this year and after visiting several spots, the winner of the program was Dave Rytell who will be invited to go on tour with the next Local Exposure trip. Mirra was so impressed by Rytell that he offered him a spot on the Mirraco team. Seems like a double victory for Rytell.
