Mirraco Dealer network
We’re still building a dealer base to sell Mirraco, but in a month or two there should be about a thousand of them out there. A lot of dealers (but not all) will also be Trek dealers. Why Trek you ask? Because they’re the biggest bike company in the US, they have a great distribution network, and the dealers like ‘em. If we’re going to get Mirraco products out there and into a store near you, we need somebody who doesn’t screw around.

Tim McCarthy , the blend LTD or the Black Pearl LTD are both going to be priced at $1000. I have a question for some of the guys there at mirraco. Im interested in the Black Pearl LTD, my question was if you had weights on the bikes?? either of the 2 LTD models??

Not to be the one who\’s always the pecismist of the group, but…all the people/riders/shops - whomever, are saying \” These bikes rock\”, \”can\’t wait to get one\” etc…You don\’t know if thier any good. Think about it, they haven\’t sold any frames, or completes, how do you know they\’re good, because dave says so? Because he rides one? Cory Nastazio also said Perv was an awesome bike, except he rode an S&M black bike with Perv stickers on it. Yeah, they LOOK good, they SOUND okay, however, until they get ridden for a good 6-12 months, have a solid base of customer/rider feedback, I\’d be careful, remember, you\’re riding a Trek, a pretty rad looking Trek, but a Trek none the less….and for god\’s sake - somebody post the weights of the bikes. I also laughed out loud over the guy selling his sons Haro for a Mirraco….irony much….
Cheers
J
Editor\’s note:
Thanks for the comment, but we would like to take a sec to correct your statement. Your post states: “you’re riding a Trek”, this is categorically false. We want to be completely clear on this. Trek has nothing whatsoever to do with the the design, spec, or manufacturing of Mirraco bicycles or products. Trek is simply the wholesale distributor for this brand. Trek also distributes several other brands such as Nike cycling gear. Does this mean you are wearing Trek gear when you wear Nike? No, they are simply the distributor and the distributor only. Make no mistake about it, this is Dave Mirra’s company. These bikes were designed and spec’ed by Dave Mirra and Jean-Luc Ferre with the involvement or approval of nobody else, including Trek. As with any new company, the buyer will be the ultimate judge on Mirraco. What we will say is that all of our riders are currently riding actual Mirraco frames and have been for many months. We don’t put our sticker on another brand’s frame.
Also, we are working to get pricing an weights put on the website ASAP, please be patient.

I know you guys are probably busy trying to launch this thing but it would be nice if you posted a gereral response for all folk intersted in selling your product? Personaly, I’ve given 20 years to the sport. I still ride at 33. I spent the last five years with a group of dedicated people raising money to get one of the only bmx & skate parks built in Oregon. It has been great to sit back and see kids enjoy the fruits of our labor. I’ve heard Dave say he wants to give back to BMX. That’s is great. That’s my mission too. Only I don’t get to ride a gold plated bike around on TV. I know you have to do what is good for you new business venture but try not to snob the little core shops. Some of us are pretty dedicated too. Good luck.

So…
Does this mean if your shop is a real all BMX shop that because you don’t sell and don’t care to sell any Trek Product that you wouldn’t be able to get an account with Mirraco? Hope not cause that would just be plain retarded, an all BMX company not able to sell to an all BMX shop. Hope I’m wrong on this one, because the bikes look pretty good and we’d like to get some in our shop.

HUGE PROPS to the guy who wrote about my earlier post. I seriously did not expect any sort of reply, ESPECIALLY such a good one. And I appologize for my own error, it was my complete understanding all models were in fact Treks. I really like the little “Does this mean you are wearing Trek gear when you wear Nike?” comment, kinda sounds like you’re a tad upset, which to me is cool, because you’re defending your(his/whatever) company so you obvioulsy care what people think - good on ya. Either way, what would be good, honestly, is perhaps have the riders, who are currently riding Mirraco frames, to write reviews, like a real review, not ” it’s the best frame ever “, Have the different types of riders, street, vert, dirt, tell us how thier own rides..well…ride. Just an idea to help uber skeptikal people like me ease my nerves. Anyway, thumbs up to the guy who responded to my post, glad to hear you aren’t like other companies and let riders throw your sticker pack on another frame.
Cheers

Hey, I really want the signature retro mag bike. My friend just got a blend 1 and i want my bike to be somewhat better. The bike shop near me carries mirra’s but they dont stock the retro mag and so if i ordered it i would be locked in. So in case i dont like the bike (which i probably will love it) I want to know the weight of the bike. So if you could help me out that would be great. Thanks
